There are a lot of pictures for this one! It is shown at two coats over Diamond Cosmetics Not Your "Hum Drum" Plum (a royal indigo creme).
The duochrome is awesome, but my favorite part is just the glowy red sparkles on the indigo background. So insanely gorgeous! |
Kind of a bad picture, but it shows the red and green togther! |
Normally duochromes tend to show off their colors more in low/indirect lighting, but this one was even more vibrant in the sun! Check out the beautiful greens in this!
It also didn't show as much in the water as normal duochromes. Maybe I'll have to try and take a picture of it in water in the sun.
From the pictures I've seen, this LOOKS like a close dupe for Clarins 230 or Max Factor Fantasy Fire. I don't have either to actually compare, but I'm pretty sure it's the same pigment that they used (it's sort of a standard color change). What do you think? For those of you that have 230 or Fantasy Fire, do you think it compares?
The recipe I used was about three "scoops" (using a nail swatch stick) of powder with about a 1/4 bottle of Milani Rad Purple, a few drops of a blue jelly (like Barielle Berry Blue, but I can't remember which I used) and the rest filled with Glamour Base from TKB Trading (for glitter suspensions).
What a beauty! Great job frankening this!
ReplyDeleteYou did really well on this franken, it's really gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWell, damn, the more I see of this colour family, the more I'm eaten by envy :D First the Clarins for which I'm years too late, then the Max Factor for which I'm in the wrong country and now your beauty here with sold-out pigments. Life's unfair ... ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely stunning, amazing job!
Wonderful job. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteWho needs 230 and Fantasy Fire when you can make it yourself? This looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very close dupe to both! Amazing job!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is fabulous! You're very talented!
ReplyDeleteYou threw down on this one. Great job!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! :D
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful!! :D
ReplyDeleteamaaaziiing, this looks even better than ff !
ReplyDeletevery,very perfect...
ReplyDeletekisses
I actually thought you were wearing Fantasy Fire when I say the 1st pic! This is an amazing franken!
ReplyDeleteClarins 230 is more red, your franken looks like a perfect Max factor dupe.
ReplyDeleteGreat job :>
Yeah, I think you're right. Fantasy Fire and 230 have different base colors, huh? Although I suppose you can't even see the base color much when it's layered because it's so sheer :o)
DeleteYes, and I prefer "Fantasy Fire" over 230 because I'm more of a blue-nails girl :D
DeleteWow, what an awesome franken! You gotta go into business girl :) Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I would totally buy this! Great franken!!
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing!! I thought it's Fantasy Fire at first glance. You did such a wonderful job!!
ReplyDeletePERFECT - loving your pictures
ReplyDeleteYou know, I actually like this Franken quite a bit more than Fantasy Fire.
ReplyDeleteAmazing franken! I have Fantasy Fire, and it looks perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteI am wearing FF on my nails as i type this, layered over a navy blue base - your polish, in my opinion is much nicer than FF! For some reason, I'm getting no duo chrome when i look at FF, just red shimmer in a blue/purple base...!?
ReplyDeleteGret job x
Awesome franken! I have the color morphing pigments and spectraflair but I only made top coats with them because I'm scared of screwing things up! This looks great though! Btw, I just found your blog through Kayla Shevonne and I'm so glad I did! I always saw the pictures with the Goose watermark on tumblr and I wasn't sure which blog it was and now I do! I LOVE it! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing franken - just as beautiful as the original.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading this post I made my own using e.l.f. plum and Color Club Blue-topia. Mine is darker in the bottle, but identical to yours on the nail. Amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you, a million times thank you!!
ReplyDeleteI have FF and your franken looks very similar, same shimmer/sparkle, same colour shift. Great job!
